Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Civil Engineering Apprenticeship in the Highlands (Scotland). The 2-year programme covers on-site learning across the Highlands, with block release at the University of Highlands and Islands. You will work under mentors, gain practical experience, and study with partner universities.

Entry requires National 5 Maths and English; higher Maths or a STEM subject is preferred. A full UK driving licence is required, and travel to sites across the Highlands may be necessary.

Qualifications

• National 5 Maths & English at grade A-C.
• Graduate or Modern Apprenticeship entry with university partner.
• Willingness to travel across Highlands to Wick as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist project engineers and construction managers on site.
• Develop and review construction strategies and sequences.
• Support quality control checks and site inspections.
• Assist in reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
• Learn through Murphy Learning programme (70:20:10).
