Job summary

Murphy is recruiting apprentice Quantity Surveyors based in North Scotland (Inverness) with work across the Highlands from Alness to Wick for the duration of the programme. The role includes block release at the University of Highlands and Islands and travel to site locations.

No prior experience is required; you must be ready to learn, with a positive mindset and a can-do attitude. Full UK driving licence is required and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• National 5 Maths & English at grade A-C
• National Certificate in Built Environment, or Foundation Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering, or National Certificate in Civil Engineering, or One Higher
• Graduate entry: 3 Scottish Highers BBC or 2 A levels BC or NC Built Environment; Foundation Apprenticeship Civil Engineering

Responsibilities

• Learn to manage all costs relating to construction and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures
• Learn how to optimise the cost of a project and enhance value for money while meeting standards and quality
• You will be supported by a workplace mentor and university tutor to gain the right skills and experience
