Job summary

Murphy is a leading international engineering and construction company delivering infrastructure across the UK and Ireland. This two-year Graduate Civil Engineer programme is based in the Highlands, Inverness area, with site-based work across the region, and includes ICE Approved Training and mentoring from senior engineers.

You will rotate through multi-discipline projects, gaining practical field experience and formal training to support your professional development and ICE membership.

Qualifications

• Studying toward an ICE accredited Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence due to project location.

Responsibilities

• Work on site alongside experienced engineers assisting with setting out, supervision and control of construction activities.
• Involvement in progress, design and client meetings across disciplines.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of technical solutions.
• Assist with production of method statements, site diary, inspection and test plans, and as-built records.
• Liaise with site foreman and works managers to ensure project goals.
