Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Children Support Worker in Monkton to join our compassionate team. You will support children in a residential setting, promoting their independence and well-being through daily activities and recreational outings.

This role offers competitive hourly pay rates from £14.24 to £28.48, flexible working hours, and access to ongoing training. Ideal candidates will have at least 6 months of relevant experience and a genuine desire to positively impact children’s lives.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of experience working with children or within a similar social care environment.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Children Support Worker – Banwell

Position Overview

As a Children’s Support Worker, you will work alongside an experienced team of managers and support staff in a welcoming and nurturing environment. You will provide day‑to‑day care, support, and encouragement to children in a residential setting, fostering their independence and well‑being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children and young people with daily activities, interests, and development needs, promoting their independence and confidence.
  • Facilitate participation in recreational activities, outings, and trips, including weekends away and holidays, from outdoor adventures to social outings like trips to Butlins.
  • Create a safe and supportive environment by adhering to care plans and safeguarding policies.
  • Offer emotional and practical support tailored to each child’s individual needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help de‑escalate challenging situations, ensuring the safety and welfare of all residents.
  • Attend and assist during special events, outings, and activities that enhance social skills and social interactions.
