Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Children’s Support Worker to join a residential care team in Abergavenny. You will support children and young people with daily activities, promote independence, and participate in trips and activities to aid social development.

The role requires at least 6 months in a similar setting, a valid UK driving licence, and TMVA restraint training or willingness to complete the course. DBS on update service preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months’ experience working with children or in a similar social care setting.
• A valid UK Driving Licence is required.
• Must hold Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
• TMVA Restraint Training or willingness to undertake the 3-day course.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting children and young people with their day-to-day activities and interests

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a similar social care setting
• A valid UK Driving Licence
• TMVA - Restraint Training Certificate (or willingness to undertake the 3-day course)
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
