Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Children's Support Worker for Transitional Services in Pontypool. You will support children in their homes on 2:1 or 1:1 basis, with shifts including 8pm-8am waking nights and 8am-8pm days.

The role offers excellent pay rates, weekly pay, and a range of training and benefits. You will help children with daily activities, promote independence, ensure safety, and provide emotional and practical support while following care plans.

Qualifications

• Desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
• Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
• At least 6 months experience of working with children or within a similar Social Care setting
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one
• The right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• To support the children and young people in all day to day activities and interests
• To promote the young persons independence and wellbeing
• To protect the children and young people from any risks to their health and welfare
• To provide emotional and practical support to the young people within your home.
• To ensure the safety of young people by maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines
• To support, overcome and learn to minimise incidents when behaviour can be challenging.

Pay: £14.25 - £28.48 inclusive of holiday pay

Location - Pontypool

Time : 8pm - 8am Waking nights and 8am - 8pm Day shifts
