Your Chapter Ltd, a specialist residential care and education provider, is seeking a Children's Residential Support Worker (Bank) in Burnley or Blackburn. You'll work with vulnerable children and young people, helping with daily routines, education support, and safe, structured activities.

You are caring, resilient and flexible, able to collaborate with a supportive team and communicate effectively with children, families and professionals.

Children's Residential Support Worker (Bank)

Location: Burnley or Blackburn

As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you’ll be a crucial part of a passionate team, helping vulnerable young people through their challenges and creating positive change in their lives.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Residential Support Worker, your role will include:

• Supporting daily routines: Supporting children with personal care, meal preparation, and daily activities to help them develop independence


• Educational support: Encouraging and supporting children in their learning journey, assisting with homework, and helping them develop new skills


• Leading recreational activities: Organising and leading recreational activities, including fun events and holidays, to increase engagement and enhance well-being.


• Emotional support: Providing guidance, care, and person-centred support to help children navigate difficult moments


• Documentation: Completing care plans, reports, and maintaining accurate records.


• Maintaining a safe environment: Ensuring the home is clean, secure, and well-organised


• Team collaboration: Working closely with colleagues to create a positive, nurturing environment

Previous experience in residential care is preferred but not essential—we provide full training to support your success in the role.
