Job summary

Your Chapter Ltd is seeking a Children's Residential Support Worker (Bank) to join our team in Halifax, Hebden Bridge and Burnley. You will support vulnerable children in daily routines, educational activities, and planned recreation within a trauma-informed residential setting.

You will work with colleagues to maintain a safe, welcoming home, complete care plans and reports, and provide emotional support. Full training is provided, and you’ll have opportunities to make a real difference in

Qualifications

• Experience in residential care is preferred but not essential.
• Willing to work shifts including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Full training is provided to support your success in the role.

Responsibilities

• Supporting daily routines: assisting with personal care, meals and activities to build independence.
• Educational support: helping with homework and developing new skills.
• Leading recreational activities and holidays to boost engagement and wellbeing.
• Emotional support: providing care and person-centred support to help children through difficult moments.
• Documentation: completing care plans and maintaining accurate records.
• Maintaining a safe environment: ensuring the home is clean, secure and well-organised.
• Team collaboration: working with colleagues to create a positive, nurturing environment.
