Job summary

Purosearch Ltd is recruiting for a Home Manager to lead a brand-new 3-bed EBD children’s home in Nottingham. You will manage day-to-day operations, ensure safeguarding, and develop a skilled care team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The role requires Level 5 Leadership and Management for Children and Young People or current enrollment, with prior residential experience and a passion for making a difference in young lives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management and operation of the children’s home
• Help establish and develop the brand-new 3-bed EBD home
• Create a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people
• Lead, manage and develop the residential care team
• Maintain high standards of care
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and safeguarding
• Promote positive outcomes and wellbeing of the young people
• Build positive relationships with families, professionals and agencies
• Manage supervision, training, and performance of staff
• Ensure staffing levels and rotas are appropriate
• Keep accurate records and meet regulatory requirements
• Prepare the home to Ofsted standards
• Monitor care quality and drive improvements
• Foster a positive culture and support the team
• Collaborate with senior management on organizational development

What the Successful Candidate Will Have

• Level 5 Leadership and Management for Children and Young People, or currently enrolled
• Previous experience managing a children's home, or a minimum of 2 years' experience working within a children's residential setting
• Experience working with children and young people with EBD

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the children's home
• Helping to establish and develop the brand-new 3-bed EBD home
• Creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people
• Leading, managing and developing the residential care team
• Ensuring high standards of care are consistently maintained
• Ensuring the home operates in line with relevant legislation, regulations and safeguarding requirements
• Promoting positive outcomes and supporting the development and wellbeing of the young people
• Developing positive relationships with children, families, professionals and external agencies
• Managing staff supervision, training, development and performance
• Ensuring appropriate staffing levels and effective rota management
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
• Preparing and maintaining the home to meet Ofsted standards
• Monitoring the quality of care and implementing improvements where required
• Building a positive culture within the home and supporting the team to deliver excellent care
• Working closely with senior management to support the continued development and success of the organisation
