Job summary

Purosearch Ltd. is seeking a Registered Children's Home Manager for a NEW 3 bed EBD home in Telford, TF2.

You will provide strong, consistent leadership to the staff team, ensure the home meets Ofsted standards, and oversee development and implementation of individualized care plans for each young person. The role includes managing staffing, budgets, and resources, building partnerships with local authorities and professionals, and driving positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in a children's residential setting, including management or senior experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting children with EBD (Severe Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties).
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong, consistent leadership and direction to the staff team.
• Ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee development and implementation of individualised care plans.
• Manage staffing levels, rotas, recruitment and performance.
• Oversee budgets and resources effectively.
• Promote positive outcomes and developments for all young people in the home.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals.

The Ideal Candidate

• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children's & Young People), or a commitment to achieving it
• A minimum of two years' experience within a children's residential setting, including management or senior experience
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience supporting children with EBD
• A detailed understanding of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding, and relevant legislation
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• A genuine commitment to improving the lives and futures of young people
