Job summary

Purosearch Ltd is recruiting an experienced Children’s Home Manager for a 3-bed EBD home in Curdworth, Warwickshire. You will take overall responsibility for day-to-day management and performance, leading a resilient residential care team.

Strong Ofsted, safeguarding and budgeting expertise are essential, with a passion for improving outcomes for young people. You’ll work with families, social workers, and the senior team to deliver high standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a children’s residential home.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate a care team.
• Experience achieving positive Ofsted outcomes.
• Experience working with children with EBD and safeguarding requirements.
• Effective budgeting, staff development and collaboration with external professionals.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day-to-day management and performance of the 3-bed EBD home.
• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing residential care team.
• Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding.
• Promote a safe, nurturing environment and positive outcomes for young people.
• Oversee care planning, risk management and welfare of the residents.
• Manage staffing, training and budgetary resources.
• Build relationships with families, social workers and external professionals.
• Prepare for Ofsted inspections and drive continuous improvement.

Salary: £50,000–£60,000 per annum, depending on experience
Home Size: 3-bed EBD Children’s Home

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure the home operates in line with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, safeguarding requirements and Ofsted expectations.
• Promote a safe, nurturing and child-centred environment that supports positive outcomes.
• Oversee care planning, safeguarding, risk management and the welfare of young people.
• Manage staffing, performance, training and team development.
• Build positive relationships with young people, families, social workers and other external professionals.
• Monitor the quality of care and drive continuous improvement across the home.
• Manage budgets, resources and operational performance effectively.
• Prepare for and support Ofsted inspections, ensuring the home maintains high standards of compliance.
• Work collaboratively with the senior management team to achieve organisational goals and maintain excellent outcomes for young people.
• Participate in the shared management on-call rota.
