Job summary

Purosearch Ltd. is seeking a Children's Home Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a 4-bed EBD home in Bradford. You will ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards while directing staff to deliver high-quality, child-centred care.

You will drive improvements, manage budgets and build strong links with authorities and families, with continued professional development and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as Registered Manager in children's residential care.
• Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding.
• Experience supporting children with EBD and complex needs.
• Confident leadership to motivate and develop staff.
• Knowledge of care planning, risk assessment and safeguarding.
• Ability to maintain high standards of compliance and record keeping.
• Strong communication, organisation and decision-making skills.
• Level 5 L&M for Children’s Residential Care or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day management of the 4-bed EBD children’s home.
• Maintain the home’s current Good Ofsted rating and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure operations align with Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations and safeguarding.
• Provide strong, child-centred leadership to the staff team.
• Oversee transitions and placement of additional young people as occupancy grows.
• Ensure care planning, risk assessment and safeguarding standards are met.
• Recruit, supervise, develop and motivate staff to deliver high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, therapeutic environment and strong partnerships.

Salary: Up to £65,000 + additional bonus structure and profit-sharing scheme

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care
• Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding
• Experience supporting children and young people with EBD and complex needs
• Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and retain a strong staff team
• Strong knowledge of care planning, risk management and safeguarding
• Ability to maintain high standards of compliance, quality and record keeping
• Strong communication, organisation and decision-making skills
• Child-centred approach with a commitment to achieving positive outcomes
• Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Children's Residential Care, or willingness to work towards it
• Ability to manage a growing home and support the successful placement of additional children

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day management of the 4-bed EBD children's home
• Maintain the home's current Good Ofsted rating and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding standards
• Provide strong, consistent and child-centred leadership to the staff team
• Oversee the successful transition and placement of additional young people as occupancy increases
• Ensure high standards of care planning, risk assessment, safeguarding and behaviour support
• Recruit, supervise, develop and motivate staff to deliver consistently high-quality care
• Maintain a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where children can thrive
• Manage staffing, rotas, resources and budgets effectively
• Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, families and other professionals
• Monitor compliance, audits, records and quality assurance across the service
• Promote positive outcomes across education, wellbeing, independence and personal development
• Work closely with the senior management team to support the continued development of the home
