Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy is seeking a qualified social worker to join the Corporate Parenting Team in Birmingham. You will assess and plan for children in care, collaborate with families and foster carers, and work with multi‑agency partners to secure resources and support.

Court appearances and expert testimony may be required. The role emphasizes strong communication, analytical and decision‑making skills, with a commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with BA/MA in Social Work.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Experience in children's services, corporate parenting or child protection.
• Strong assessment, communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in care.
• Building strong relationships with children, families and foster carers.
• Collaborating with multi-agency partners to provide support and resources.
• Monitoring and reviewing progress of children in care and ensuring their voices are heard.
• Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.
