Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy is seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner - Child in Care to join our Birmingham team. You will deliver high-quality social work services to children in care, ensuring safety, wellbeing and development, working with families and external agencies to implement effective care plans.

Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing care plans, supervising junior staff, maintaining records, and contributing to multi-agency planning.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with CQSW/DipSW or equivalent.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Significant experience in child protection and care.
• Strong communication and assessment skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
• Develop, implement, and review care plans with children, families and stakeholders.
• Provide supervision and support to junior social workers and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
• Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to strategic planning for child welfare.
