The ideal candidate holds a recognized Social Work qualification, is registered with Social Work England, and has significant child protection experience.

Qualifications

• Recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
• Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative practice.

Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough assessments and investigations in line with child protection policies.
• Developing and implementing care plans that prioritize the best interests of children.
• Providing supervision and support to less experienced social workers and students.
• Engaging with families, children, and external agencies to facilitate effective interventions.
• Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for court proceedings as required.
