Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Chief Project Engineer to join the Comms and Force Protection group within Naval Systems. The role involves leading SDA activities, defining technical solutions with customers, and ensuring design integrity across the lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers and collaborate with multi-site teams on cutting-edge RF and networking technologies, in a hybrid working environment with a strong focus on delivering mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Strong background in development of complex military products.
• Experience in RF or Comms domains.
• Experience with Requirements, Test Qualification and Acceptance.
• Experience in Design Certification and Customer Acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical solution for all phases of the solution development.
• Keep up to date on related processes and requirements.
• Work with development teams and supply chain to meet End Users' needs.
• Ensure products are compliant with performance, legislative and contractual requirements.
• Chair design reviews and ensure lifecycle management.
