Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a Sr. Chief Systems Engineer to lead large teams, shape the systems engineering capability, and drive governance across multiple projects.

You will set a clear technical vision, champion modern techniques, and influence product directions while ensuring customer satisfaction. The role combines on-site activity with custom working arrangements and requires strong leadership in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in systems engineering environments.
• Proven ability to coach and develop engineers.
• Experience with governance of complex systems and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact for Systems Engineering governance at sector level.
• Coach and develop systems engineers, promoting best practices.
• Define problem spaces clearly and guide architecture and verification approaches.
• Ensure stakeholder needs are captured across lifecycle stages.
• Lead implementation of design for excellence concepts and system synthesis.
• Drive sector improvement plans and align with LoB goals.
• Promote collaboration across engineering disciplines and agile approaches.
• Represent Leonardo in systems engineering bodies and standards groups.
