Role Overview

We seek an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage finances for a project valued at approximately £600 million. The CFO will establish and lead a finance team, oversee financial controls, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project success.

Main Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Develop strategies, policies, and lead negotiations.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a finance team, fostering collaboration.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, including cash flow management.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, implement cost-saving measures.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with project teams and partners, prepare financial reports for the board, and liaise with regulatory bodies.
  • Data & Compliance: Ensure data accuracy, legal compliance, and audit readiness.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • At least 20 years in senior financial roles within large infrastructure or energy projects.
  • Experience with joint ventures and complex governance is desirable.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP), strategic planning, and NEC contract mechanisms.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and professional integrity skills.
