Sodexo is seeking a Chef de Partie to join Kings College Taunton, a prestigious college on a rural campus within Taunton. You’ll join a friendly team producing fresh, nutritious meals for around 1,000 meals per day.

The role is 40 hours per week over five days, with shifts 6.15am-2.15pm and 11.45am-7.45pm. A DBS check is required, and we offer training and progression opportunities within a supportive kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Chef de Partie experience or similar required.
• Experience in school or contract catering is advantageous.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook high quality dishes for up to 1,000 meals daily.
• Support Head Chef and team during busy service periods.
• Receive deliveries and manage stock with FIFO to reduce waste.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety per policies and legal requirements.
• Work with the team to create a positive kitchen environment.
• Assist with school events and occasional after-hours duties.
• Provide friendly, professional service to students, staff and visitors.
• Follow portion control and eco-friendly catering practices.
• Propose ideas to improve menus and dining experience.
