Job summary

Sodexo Ltd at Wellington College is seeking a Chef de Partie to develop culinary skills while enjoying school holiday periods. You will join a talented kitchen team producing high-quality meals for students, staff and guests, with 40 hours per week across early and late shifts.

The role offers a permanent contract, term-time pattern (34 weeks) with weekends included, and a strong focus on food safety, menu development and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Chef de Partie or similar role in professional catering.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health & safety regs.
• Experience with fresh food and varied ingredients.
• Experience in education/hospitality/high-volume catering.
• Experience supporting or developing team members.
• Pastry knowledge.
• Experience managing customer or client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, production and presentation of high-quality food to standards.
• Ensure dishes meet dietary requirements and allergens are managed.
• Support service by replenishing and presenting food to a high standard.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness in line with requirements.
• Assist with catering for functions, events and special occasions.
• Collaborate with Executive Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver service.
• Contribute ideas to menus and food development.
• Support stock management, ordering and kitchen admin as required.
• Build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Report compliments, complaints, incidents or areas for improvement appropriately.
