Job summary

The Citygate in Exeter is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen team. We serve British pub fare with seasonal ingredients, and offer a supportive environment with developmental opportunities and a strong team culture.

As a CDP you will work under the Head Chef, help design daily specials, maintain high standards of food quality, and contribute to GP and labour controls. We value passion for fresh food and a welcoming kitchen atmosphere.

Qualifications

• We are looking for an existing Chef de Partie or a capable Commis Chef aiming to progress.
• Must have a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in a welcoming environment.
• You will work with Head Chef to design and deliver new dishes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering high-quality, fresh food every service.
• Support Head Chef and supervise kitchen juniors as needed.
• Contribute to menu ideas and daily specials.
• Maintain GP and labour controls and keep workspace clean.
