Job summary

BaxterStorey in Kingston upon Hull, HU9, is seeking a Chef de Partie. This part-time permanent role runs 6:30am-3pm Wednesday to Sunday, with an emphasis on high standards, food safety, and kitchen teamwork.

You will prepare and cook dishes to recipe standards under head/sous chefs while maintaining clean, orderly stations. We offer bespoke training and development opportunities, apprenticeships for all levels, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, life insurance, and discounts

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards, ensuring food safety
• Station Management – oversee production and keep area stocked and clean
• Quality Control – maintain high quality and presentation
• Team Collaboration – communicate with the team and assist colleagues
• Menu Development – collaborate with head chef to develop and taste new recipes
• Cleaning and Maintenance – keep kitchen clean and equipment in good working order
