Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Chef de Partie for Miramar Care Home in Herne Bay, Kent. You will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver nutritious, high-quality meals that contribute to residents' wellbeing within a caring, values-driven team.

The ideal candidate will hold a catering qualification (City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent), a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and have at least 1 year of catering experience. DBS check disclosure will be arranged by Avery.

Qualifications

• Catering qualification or NVQ equivalent.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Minimum 1 year catering experience.
• Ability to adapt to a range of responsibilities on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a culinary team.
• Attend meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering needs.
• Prepare nutritious, high-quality meals as directed by Head Chef.
• Help develop and review menu regularly and manage costs to minimise waste.
