Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is hiring a Chef De Partie at Bagshot Gardens Care Home in Bagshot. You will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team, ensuring a nutritionally balanced and high-quality service for residents.

We seek a warm, enthusiastic individual with at least 1 year of catering experience, a catering qualification, and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate. DBS check and UK work eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Have a minimum of 1-year catering experience.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality culinary services to residents.
• Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team delivering nutritionally balanced meals.
• Attend meetings with residents and department heads to discuss catering needs and dietary requirements.
• Prepare nutritious food and beverages to a high standard according to Head Chef guidance.
• Assist cost-effective stock control to minimise waste and ensure processes are in place.
• Develop and review the menu with the Head Chef and Sous Chef regularly.
