Job summary

Miramar Care Home is seeking a Chef de Partie to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering nutritionally balanced meals for residents. The role focuses on high-quality catering and meeting dietary requirements, with responsibility for stock control and menu development.

Candidates need a catering qualification, Basic Food Hygiene, and at least one year of catering experience, plus eligibility to work in the UK. DBS check is required.

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team delivering nutritionally balanced, high-quality catering
• Prepare nutritious food and beverages to a high standard as directed by the Head Chef
• Meet residents and Heads of Department to agree catering across the home and address special needs or dietary requirements
• Run stock control systems that minimise waste
• Help the Head Chef and Sous Chef develop and review the menu regularly

Job description

Chef de Partie in the kitchen at Miramar Care Home, run by Avery Healthcare, a luxury elderly care provider with over 100 homes. The post supports the Head Chef and Sous Chef in producing nutritionally balanced meals that contribute to residents' wellbeing. It is distinct for its work meeting residents' special and dietary needs and agreeing catering with department heads across the home. Candidates need a catering qualification, a Basic Food Hygiene certificate and a year's catering experience, and must be eligible to work in the UK.
