Avery Healthcare in Herne Bay, Kent is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Chef de Partie to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering nutritious, high‑quality meals for residents. You will participate in meetings, help develop menus, manage dietary requirements, and support cost‑effective stock control.

A DBS disclosure will be provided by Avery, and applicants must hold a catering qualification and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate with at least 1 year of catering experience.

• Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Have a minimum of 1-year catering experience.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality culinary services.

Responsabilidades

• Taking part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering functions and dietary needs.
• Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard as directed by the Head Chef.
• Supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste.
• Working with Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Chef de Partie will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service, which contributes to the overall wellbeing of the residents.

• Other responsibilities will include: Taking part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree catering functions across the home, and to address special needs or dietary requirements of residents.
• Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef.
• Supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste and ensure these are in place.
• Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.
