Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Chef de Partie at our Kingston upon Thames care home. You will join a professional kitchen team, running a section to deliver restaurant-quality meals for residents and supporting the Head Chef in menu development.

We value a year of catering experience, NVQ Level 2 or QCF in food & hygiene, and solid knowledge of health & safety, waste disposal and infection control. Training, wellbeing support, and career progression are provided.

• Working knowledge of health & safety and awareness of waste disposal & infection control.

Responsibilities

• As Chef de Partie, you’ll work under the Head Chef to create nutritious, restaurant-quality meals for residents.
• Oversee one section of the kitchen, ensure proper portions and minimise waste.
• Help review and develop menus with the Head Chef and Sous Chef while meeting dietary needs.

Job Introduction

Develop your passion for food within a highly equipped kitchen, in-house bistro and fine dining restaurant, as part of our caring and supportive team, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Chef de Partie at our luxury care and nursing home in Kingston upon Thames.

Your Role at Signature

As Chef de Partie, you’ll work under the Head Chef to create and produce a nutritious menu of restaurant quality food for our residents. You’ll oversee one area of the kitchen to prepare meals to the highest standard, ensure proper portion control and minimise waste.

You’ll develop an awareness of special dietary requirements, including the dementia dining experience, to meet these needs.

You’ll also use your creativity and passion to help the Head Chef and Sous Chef to regularly review and develop the menu.
