Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle Banstead seeks a Chef de Partie to join our luxury care and nursing home kitchen. You will work under the Head Chef to prepare nutritious, restaurant-quality meals for residents and oversee one area of the kitchen to ensure correct portions and minimal waste.

You will support dietary requirements including dementia dining, contribute to menu development, and help review menus. A year's catering experience and an NVQ Level 2 or QCF in food hygiene or catering are

Qualifications

• A year's experience in catering is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of health & safety and awareness of waste disposal & infection control.
• NVQ Level 2 or QCF in food & hygiene or catering services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant-quality meals for residents under Head Chef guidance.
• Oversee one area of the kitchen, ensuring proper portions and minimising waste.
• Contribute to menu reviews and development with the Head/Sous Chef.

Job Introduction

Develop your passion for food within a highly equipped kitchen, in-house bistro and fine dining restaurant, as part of our caring and supportive team, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Chef de Partie at our luxury care and nursing home in Banstead.

Your Role at Signature

As Chef de Partie, you’ll work under the Head Chef to create and produce a nutritious menu of restaurant quality food for our residents. You’ll oversee one area of the kitchen to prepare meals to the highest standard, ensure proper portion control and minimise waste.

You’ll develop an awareness of special dietary requirements, including the dementia dining experience, to meet these needs.

You’ll also use your creativity and passion to help the Head Chef and Sous Chef to regularly review and develop the menu.
