Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Chef de Partie for our luxury care and nursing home in Ascot. You will work under the Head Chef to craft nutritious, restaurant-quality meals for residents and oversee one kitchen area, ensuring accurate portions and minimal waste.

You will support dietary requirements, including dementia dining, and collaborate with the Head Chef to refresh menus and maintain high standards of service.

Qualifications

• One year of catering experience or equivalent in a kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of health & safety best practices and infection control.
• Ability to manage portion control and minimize waste.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to run one area of the kitchen.
• Prepare meals to restaurant quality standards for residents.
• Ensure proper portion control and waste minimisation.
• Develop and review menus in collaboration with the team to meet dietary needs, including dementia dining.

Your Role at Signature

As Chef de Partie, you’ll work under the Head Chef to create and produce a nutritious menu of restaurant quality food for our residents. You’ll oversee one area of the kitchen to prepare meals to the highest standard, ensure proper portion control and minimise waste.

You’ll develop an awareness of special dietary requirements, including the dementia dining experience, to meet these needs.

You’ll also use your creativity and passion to help the Head Chef and Sous Chef to regularly review and develop the menu.
