Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle Limited is seeking a Chef de Partie at our luxury care and nursing home in Kingston upon Thames. You will work under the Head Chef to deliver restaurant-quality meals for residents, oversee a kitchen section, and ensure portion control and waste minimisation.

You will adapt to dietary requirements including dementia dining, contribute to menu development, and support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in maintaining high standards of food quality and service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of catering experience is required.
• Good knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles.
• NVQ2/QCF in food & hygiene or catering services is advantageous.

• As Chef de Partie, you will assist the Head Chef and oversee one area of the kitchen.
• You will prepare meals to high standards and manage portion control.
• Develop menus and monitor waste and dietary needs.

Your role at Signature

Develop your passion for food within a highly equipped kitchen, in-house bistro and fine dining restaurant, as part of our caring and supportive team, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Chef de Partie at our luxury care and nursing home in Kingston upon Thames.

What you will do

As Chef de Partie, you’ll work under the Head Chef to create and produce a nutritious menu of restaurant quality food for our residents. You’ll oversee one area of the kitchen to prepare meals to the highest standard, ensure proper portion control and minimise waste.

You’ll develop an awareness of special dietary requirements, including the dementia dining experience, to meet these needs.

You’ll also use your creativity and passion to help the Head Chef and Sous Chef to regularly review and develop the menu.
