Job summary

Bettys & Taylors in Harlow Carr is seeking a skilled Chef to join our kitchen team. You will prepare hot dishes such as rosti and kedgeree, work across service and prep kitchens, and cooperate with Catering Assistants to deliver a deliciously magical customer experience.

You will report to the Catering Team Leaders, with training provided. There may be opportunities to step up to support operations during absences, and shifts include weekends and varied start or finish times.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef in a busy kitchen.
• Ability to prepare hot dishes such as rosti and kedgeree.
• Works well in a team and on multiple kitchen stations.
• Experience with food safety and quality checks.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our kitchen team and we are looking for a skilled chef with experienceto join our team at Bettys Cafe Tearooms in Harlow Carr.

As a Chef you play a key role, working in the busy service kitchen/s and prep kitchen and be responsible for preparing delicious hot food e.g. Rosti, Kedgeree as part of a deliciously magical experience for every customer. You will enjoy working as part of a team, also working onother kitchen stations, alongside Catering Assistants, to prepare cold food and drinks.

You will report to one of the Catering Team Leaders, and when you are fully up and running in the role and training has been provided, occasionally you may be given the opportunity of stepping up to support the operation if they are absent or needed away from the floor, e.g. to organise breaks, open and close and ensure the relevant food safety and quality checks are completed.

Working Pattern

• This is an FullTimerole working 30hours, 5days over 7.
• We have a variety of shift patterns with start and finish times staggered throughout the day which is dependent on the opening hours of the branch.
• These shifts may include some early morning or later finishes.
• You will be required to work at least one weekend day each week.
