Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a chef.

As a Chef at Sodexo in Glasgow Health Nuffield Hospital, you’ll play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patient wellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience.You’ll be responsible for managing your own section of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards.If you’re passionate about food, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a purpose-driven team — this is the role for you. What you’ll do:

Attend work in line with the company’s personal hygiene policy, wearing a clean, intact uniform.

Comply with any reasonable request from your line manager(s) within the required timeframe.

Complete any reasonable request from Nuffield within the required timeframe.

Ensure unit stores and other potential areas of loss are always secured, following management instructions.

Assist in any special functions that may occur outside regular working hours.

Report any customer complaints or compliments and take remedial action as soon as possible.

Report incidents such as accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take appropriate action.

Attend meetings and training courses as necessary.

Provide cover during periods of staff absence or sickness.

What you bring:

  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ experience as a chef
  • Strong culinary skills and a genuine passion for cooking
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy kitchen
  • Clear, respectful communication and a strong team spirit
