Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Checkout Team Leader to drive frontline store operations, overseeing checkouts, customer service, kiosks and car parks. You will be visible on the shop floor, lead a friendly team and ensure standards, safety and compliance are met every shift.

You will use store data and dashboards to spot trends, fix issues quickly and continuously improve the checkout experience for customers, while keeping the department tidy and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Be visible on the shop floor: stay out front with your team, use headsets to jump in quickly, support colleagues, and keep queues moving so customers can get on with their day.
• Lead a friendly, helpful team: build an encouraging team culture where colleagues feel trusted, listened to, and recognised for a job well done.
• Keep standards high, safe, and legal: make sure all daily processes, cash handling, and legal obligations are followed properly every shift.
• Use data to make good calls: look at store reports and dashboards to spot what's working, fix problems quickly, and keep improving the checkout experience for everyone.
• Keep waste down: help keep the department tidy and organised, making sure put-backs are handled promptly to minimise waste.
