Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Checkout Team Leader to drive the front end of store operations. You will lead a proactive team across checkouts, customer service, kiosks and car parks, ensuring smooth queues and excellent service.

You’ll coach colleagues, build a supportive team culture, and ensure high safety and compliance standards while using data to continuously improve the checkout experience.

Qualifications

• A natural leader with the ability to coach and develop a high performing team.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Good operational and technical knowledge of front end service departments.

Responsibilities

• Be visible on the shop floor with your team, use headsets to support colleagues and keep queues moving.
• Lead a friendly, helpful team and foster a culture where colleagues feel trusted and recognised.
• Keep daily processes, cash handling and legal obligations compliant and up to standard.
• Use store data and dashboards to spot issues, make fixes quickly and improve checkout experiences.
• Keep the department tidy and organised, minimising waste and ensuring put-backs are handled promptly.
