Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a Change Management Lead on a fixed-term basis for 12 months to support workforce planning, capability development and transformation work. The role will help teams embed new ways of working, realise programme benefits and build capability across the organisation.

You will engage senior leaders, coach teams and drive adoption across a diverse portfolio, supporting the Transformation Service’s strategic priorities and growth ambitions.

Qualifications

• Experience of Change Management principles, methodologies and tools in public sector projects.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience coaching senior leaders to reach shared goals.
• Proactive, solution-focused problem solving mindset.
• Passion for supporting residents and improving outcomes through change.

Responsibilities

• Champions and embeds effective change management across a portfolio of programmes.
• Shapes and delivers change strategies, frameworks and tools for adoption.
• Works with programme teams and leaders to assess impacts and readiness.
• Coaches and mentors staff to raise organisational change capability.
• Coordinates a network of change champions and advises on transformation ambitions.
