Job description
Overview

To lead a community based multi-disciplinary Community Forensic Intellectual Developmental Disability (CFIDD) team. The delivery and development of this team is in line with the process to support individuals with a diagnosis of IDD, who present a forensic risk and are currently detained under the Mental Health Act (1983 amended 2007). To identify appropriate care pathways and assist with the transition from secure care / inpatient setting into the community and case management of the high‑risk complex individuals.

Database Security Check (DBS) Requirements

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

Operational Responsibilities

Establish close collaborative working with Trust services, Social Care and other external partners and stakeholders such as the probation service, Police, housing, the voluntary and private sector.

To ensure effective and efficient deployment of resources. This will require ensuring the statutory responsibilities of the Trust are met along with identified performance targets. The Team manager is responsible for ensuring, supervision; training and development needs of the staff are identified and met.

To supervise and monitor the clinical work of the team and to have a clinical remit as prescribed.

Driving Licence Requirement

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
