Job summary

Landsec at Bluewater is seeking a Retail Manager to drive sales and maximise income with our brand partners. You will combine strategic thinking with retail operations and relationship management to ensure brand success.

You will analyse trading data, develop CRM plans, and support leasing with market insights. The role is on-site at Bluewater, five days a week, reporting to the Deputy Centre Director.

Qualifications

• Retail management, shopping centre, leisure, or food and beverage experience.
• Proven experience of delivering sales growth.
• Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Proven customer service skills.
• Able to analyse sales data and research and make recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to drive sales and density using commercial expertise.
• Develop and implement an effective CRM strategy working with all brands to support the strategic asset plan.
• Use industry/brand knowledge and insight to drive sales and income growth.
• Attend leasing meetings, articulating centre performance as appropriate, and support leasing teams with viewings.
• Develop a plan to manage any void units, from hoardings to temporary lettings.
• Undertake regular brand visits to develop and maintain relationships, gain insights on performance.
• Develop and implement a communication strategy to keep brands informed on issues.
• Organise and co-chair regular Retail Partnership meetings to share updates.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager to address operational issues promptly.
• Be aware of brand events and ensure they are well managed through communication.
• Collate and analyse daily, weekly and monthly sales data for accurate trading records.
• Provide weekly trading and footfall data to internal stakeholders on schedule.
• Analyse data to understand retail/leisure variances vs. prior periods and budgets.
• Benchmark by category and zone performance.
• Maximise use of data (CACI, footfall, dwell time, spend, catchments) to support brand performance.
