Job summary

Halfords is seeking an Autocentre Centre Manager in the UK to lead a high-performing team and deliver exceptional customer journeys. You’ll drive business results with an emphasis on sales, service quality and staff development in a busy automotive centre.

The role offers a base salary between £36,000 and £39,000, with an uncapped monthly bonus scheme averaging £11,600 per year, and on-target earnings up to £50,600. A hybrid training path and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team management skills in automotive or similar industry.
• Experience delivering high customer satisfaction and effective management.
• Engaging, coaching-based approach to team development and in-the-moment training.
• Experience meeting Health and Safety compliance standards.
• Experience with high sales turnover and KPI management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• IT proficient with ability to learn in-house systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the centre team to deliver outstanding customer journeys and satisfaction.
• Drive business performance and growth through effective people and KPI management.
• Provide coaching and development to staff; coach in the moment when needed.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards across the centre.
• Oversee delivery of services in a high-volume AutoCentre environment.
• Represent the centre and liaise with stakeholders to support target outcomes.

• Comprising a base salary of £36,000 - £39,000
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £11,600 per year.

Skills and experience

• Fantastic leadership and team management skills within the automotive or similar industry
• Experience delivering high customer satisfaction and displaying effective management.
• Engaging and motivational, coaching-based approach to team development and able to provide in the moment training.
• Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety
• Experienced with high sales turnover and managing KPI’s
• Excellent communication skills, verbally and written.
• IT Proficient, with the willingness to learn in-house systems.
• Good time management
• A current valid driving licence
