Job description

HiQ Tyres & Autocare has an exciting new opportunity for a Centre Manager to join our Northampton (Campbell Street) store.

The role is full-time and permanent, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm, with a half-day finish on Saturday. The salary ranges from £36,000 to £37,000, depending on experience.

We seek a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead and manage a talented team of automotive technical professionals. If you're passionate about the automotive industry, driving operational excellence, and delivering exceptional customer experiences, this is an exciting opportunity for you!

What you will be doing as a Centre Manager:
  1. Lead, manage, and motivate a team of automotive technical staff, ensuring they are adequately resourced and skilled to meet company and customer objectives.
  2. Foster a high-performance, harmonious culture where achievements are celebrated and underperformance is effectively managed.
  3. Ensure operational performance consistently meets company and customer KPIs and SLAs.
  4. Oversee store costs and margins, driving improvements where necessary.
  5. Maximise profit and turnover through effective resource management and operational excellence.
  6. Set clear objectives for each department, with planning and execution to meet targets efficiently.
  7. Develop and implement strategies aligned with the company's broader objectives to achieve business goals.
  8. Support the company in maintaining high customer satisfaction and building strong customer relationships.
  9. Plan and coordinate key merchandising activities, ensuring robust stock management routines.
What you will need:
  1. Proven experience managing technical automotive teams in a fast-paced Fast Fit environment.
  2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  3. Solid understanding of operational performance management and KPIs.
  4. Experience managing costs, margins, and maximising profitability.
  5. Strong strategic thinking and project management skills.
  6. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with customers and stakeholders.
  7. Ability to plan, execute, and ensure operational efficiency across departments.
