Job Opportunity: Garage Services Team Leader at Halfords

Join our exciting Halfords Garage Services team at one of our new Fusion centres, equipped with the latest facilities to provide a first-class customer experience and a great working environment. As a team leader, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the centre's success, supported by an Assistant Manager and Workshop Controller. Lead a team of around 11 skilled technicians and customer service advisors to deliver seamless service.

Success in this role involves:
  • Achieving success with teams and delivering fantastic customer experiences
  • Managing day-to-day operations to maximise profit and minimise loss
  • Ensuring quality standards and results through excellence
  • Optimising workforce scheduling to meet customer demand
  • Analyzing customer metrics and centre performance to exceed sales, margin, and profit targets
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Proven success in exceeding customer metrics targets and delivering effective coaching
  • Management experience, including capability and performance management
  • Experience developing colleagues through technical training
  • Track record of meeting sales targets and compliance standards (Health & Safety, quality)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Labour force scheduling and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and in-house systems
  • Valid full driving licence
