Job summary

Webrecruit is seeking an experienced Centre Manager in Birkenhead, UK. The role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service in a busy automotive retail setting, achieving sales targets, and maintaining centre standards.

You will lead recruitment, training, and daily operations, with support across Head Office and other centres. Excellent communication and a flexible approach are essential, as is the ability to manage own workload and coordinate with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

Ensure customers receive excellent service and care, keeping complaints to a minimum
Meet sales targets and KPIs
Maintain cleanliness of the Centre and equipment
Increase sales of products and services in line with company procedures
Recruit and interview Centre staff
Identify training needs for employees
Carry out vehicle service and repair where applicable
Support other Centres as needed
Adhere to company policies, health and safety, compliance and stock control
Follow management instructions
Wear company uniform and maintain a neat appearance
Liaise with Head Office and other departments

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure that Customers receive the best Customer Service and care to ensure that complaints are kept to a minimum
To ensure all sales targets and KPI’s are achieved
To maintain the cleanliness of the Centre and its equipment on an ongoing basis
To increase sales of products and services offered by the Company, in accordance with procedures
Recruit and interview all employees for the Centre
Identify any training needs for employees to progress and develop within the Company
Carry out service and repair on all makes of vehicle
Support other Centres, when asked, when necessary
To adhere to the Company’s Policies & Procedures including Health & Safety, Compliance and Stock Control
To comply with reasonable instructions from Management
The company will supply you with uniform, it must be clean and presentable at all times
Liaise with Head Office and other Departments
