Job description

Cell Repair Technician

KeyMed (Medical & Industrial Equipment) Ltd. (OKM) | Manufacturing (KeyMed)

Type of employment: Permanent employment

Function: Technical Service / Service

Location: Southend-on-Sea, England, United Kingdom

As a Cell Repair Technician, you will be responsible for a repair stage in the repair process of medical and surgical endoscopes, following approved repair processes and procedures on a stage of an assembly line style repair process.

Your responsibilities
  1. Complete repairs in line with method sheets and/or repair manuals, including other relevant processes and procedures.
  2. Adhere to health and safety requirements as determined by risk assessments.
  3. Escalate Incidents, Near Misses, and Identified Hazards.
  4. Responsible for the quality of the product for the designated stage of the repair, meeting the minimum target requirements, including inspection checks throughout the repair process.
  5. Adopt a continuous improvement mindset, working to relevant Lean and 6S expectations.
  6. Achieve customer satisfaction by working to the required productivity and quality requirements.
  7. Use calibrated tooling and test equipment defined for the repair process.
  8. Record all relevant information for the repair using service management and administration systems, including process times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a technical role or fine hand skills gained through other means.
  • Knowledge of mechanical/electrical tasks and/or soldering is highly advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to read and understand detailed technical instructions.
  • Flexible approach where required.
  • Self-motivated with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in an organized manner.
  • Good PC competency, including email and data entry.
