Job summary

Bupa in Cardiff is seeking a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist to work face-to-face on a permanent basis. The role focuses on delivering high-quality CBT, conducting comprehensive assessments, and applying evidence-based interventions across multiple modalities (face-to-face, telephone, video).

Qualifications

• Full BABCP accreditation is required.
• Post-Graduate Diploma in CBT (High Intensity) BABCP accredited.
• At least 2 years post-qualification experience providing high intensity CBT.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality CBT or brief interventions with strong clinical outcomes.
• Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations to guide care pathways.
• Offer face-to-face, telephone or video sessions per client preference.
• Adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and collaborate with leads and team.
• Work within sessional limits set by client insurance while pursuing recovery goals.
• Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
• Deliver wellbeing support, group psychoeducation, and remote presentations when required.
• Maintain autonomous practice within policy and professional guidelines.
• Attend regular clinical supervision for ongoing development.
