Job summary

Northern Community Leisure Ltd is seeking a Catering Supervisor to lead the on-site cafe at Bangor. You will ensure great food, friendly service and a welcoming guest experience, while managing daily operations and contributing to the community facility’s goals.

The role requires at least 2 years in a busy cafe/restaurant, Level 3 Food Hygiene, and strong customer-focused leadership in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid/flexible working is possible.

• At least 2 years' experience in a busy cafe/restaurant environment.
• Strong focus on food quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the café and ensure high quality food and service.
• Lead, organise and support colleagues to provide excellent customer experience.
• Manage stock, purchasing, pricing and waste to meet budgets.
• Ensure health and safety, food hygiene and allergen controls are followed.
• Monitor sales, costs and gross profit, taking actions to achieve targets.
• Identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement in catering.

Salary: £29071.00 plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Full-time - 37 hours per week working across 7 days between the hours 7.30am - 8pm

As Catering Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operation of the café, ensuring customers receive great food, excellent service and a welcoming experience. What You’ll Do As a Catering Supervisor

• Manage the daily operation of the café, ensuring food and beverage services are delivered to high standards
• Lead, organise and support colleagues to provide excellent customer service and a positive customer experience
• Manage stock levels, purchasing, pricing and food waste to maximise efficiency and achieve financial targets
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, food hygiene standards and food allergen controls
• Monitor sales, costs and gross profit performance, taking action to meet agreed budgets and objectives
• Identify opportunities for growth, continuous improvement and innovation across the catering operation

Does this sound like you?

• Proven experience managing successful teams within a catering, hospitality or food service environment
• At least 2 years' experience working within a busy café/ restaurant environment
• Strong food preparation and menu delivery experience, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
• Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification
• Confident communication skills with the ability to build trust with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards and a positive attitude

Vetting And Checks

This role requires a Basic DBS check, which will disclose any unspent convictions in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
