Job summary

Cygnet Newton House in Blackpool, Lancashire, is seeking an outstanding Catering Manager to lead the kitchen team and deliver exceptional dining for residents. You will work 48 hours per week, overseeing menus, budgeting and staff management in a care setting close to local amenities.

The role requires an experienced chef with advanced food hygiene certification, strong communication, and a proactive approach to infection control and patient wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified chef with advanced food hygiene certification.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills required.
• Experience in stock ordering and menu planning desirable.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with nursing colleagues to meet patients’ nutritional & dietary needs.
• Order food supplies, plan & review menus.
• Prepare, cook & serve food to a high standard.
• Organise work rotas, manage budgets & kitchen staff.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas & dining room.
• Maintain hygiene records and comply with regulations & Cygnet procedures.
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment; manage COSHH compliance.

Cygnet Newton House offers both a high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service and community rehabilitation (level 1) service for men. The service is dedicated to providing a high quality environment for promoting long-term recovery.From admission, the team work with the men we support to maximise positive outcomes and recovery, while focusing on discharge plans to support them to move on to the least restrictive environment for them. Our dedicated clinical team provide a multi-disciplinary input including occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry and vocational training.Located 1 mile from Blackpool centre, Cygnet Newton House benefits from being close to plenty of amenities.
