Job summary

CYGNET is seeking an outstanding Cook for Cygnet Acer Clinic, a 28-bed service offering assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. You’ll work 40 hours weekly, 8am-6pm, preparing nutritious meals and supporting patients with dietary needs in a therapeutic environment.

The role requires a food hygiene certificate and excellent communication. DBS check will be required; you’ll have opportunities for career progression within a supportive culture and benefit from discounts and pension schemes.

Qualifications

• Must have valid food hygiene certificate.
• Experience in care or hospital kitchen preferred.
• Ability to plan nourishing meals within budget constraints.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook & serve nutritious, balanced meals.
• Provide meals accommodating special diets and preferences.
• Liaise with nursing staff to meet patients’ nutritional needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, service areas and dining room.
• Ensure health & safety standards and Food Hygiene Regulations compliance.
• Handle, maintain and store kitchen equipment per procedures.
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.
