Cygnet Oaks is a mental health rehabilitation service for males over 18 housed at NHS sites. NHS Jobs is seeking an outstanding Kitchen Assistant to join the team, working 40 hours weekly and helping deliver balanced meals while maintaining high kitchen hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in providing balanced, appetising meals.
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties.
• Wash utensils, dishes & ensure they are stored appropriately.
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering.
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic.
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with procedures.
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.

We are looking for an outstanding Kitchen Assistant who's passionate about food and wants to make a difference. You'll be working 40 hours at Cygnet Oaks which is mental health rehabilitation service for males over 18yrs old, creating an excellent experience for the people in our care. Cygnet Oaks is a 35 bed service specialising in high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) for men, providing a multi-disciplinary treatment programme designed to assist individuals with their return to independent living. Depending on the individuals level of need, at Cygnet Oaks we provide different levels of support in 2 wards, the Lodge and the House; Lodge this is a 20 bed admission ward where most service users will start their recovery journey at Cygnet Oaks. Individuals who are admitted to this ward are generally stepping down from an acute or a low secure service House a 15 bed service for individuals to continue along their care pathway. The House Ward also contains a 4 bed step-through service. This is situated in its own corridor and has a separate living space to prepare and develop individuals towards a community placement whilst still having input from the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

Your Day-to-Day
