Cygnet Learning Disabilities Midlands Limited is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Cygnet Cedars, a 23-bed high dependency unit for men with learning disabilities. The role involves assisting in meal prep, cooking, and maintaining kitchen hygiene, across three 8-hour shifts weekly from 7:00am to 3:00pm, 24 hours per week.

You will work as part of a compassionate team, hold or be willing to obtain a food hygiene certificate, and contribute to safe, appetising meals while rotating stock and

Qualifications

• Experienced in catering, preferably within a care setting.
• Holder of a food hygiene certificate with good personal hygiene standards.
• Enthusiastic, eager to learn and work as an active team member.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of balanced, appetising meals.
• Perform cooking tasks and other kitchen duties.
• Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas and dining room.
• Wash utensils and store them appropriately.
• Rotate stock and put away deliveries.
