Gateshead College in Gateshead is seeking a Learning Facilitator for the Catering department at Baltic Campus. The role focuses on pastoral and learning support, liaising with teachers to monitor progress, and delivering group tutorials to develop personal, social and work-ready skills.

The post requires a teaching and learning qualification and strong communication/IT skills, with a part-time, on-site arrangement and aim to boost learner employability and progression.

Qualifications

• Have or be prepared to undertake a teaching and learning qualification.
• Brilliant communication and IT skills.
• Plan effectively and meet deadlines.
• Experience of teaching, learning and assessing and tracking learner progress.

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor learner progress with teachers and Curriculum Leaders.
• Provide group and one-to-one learner support.
• Support actions to improve punctuality, attendance, retention and achievement.
• Deliver group tutorials on personal and social development including PREVENT, British values, employability and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with employers to arrange placements and visit learners on site.
