Job summary

Axcis Education in London is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with catering experience to work full-time at a college in Haringey. You will support students during classroom and practical catering sessions, helping them develop practical skills, confidence and independence.

Applicants should have catering experience, strong communication and teamwork, and a commitment to safeguarding. This is a temporary, full-time role within a college environment, with DBS and safeguarding checks

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience is essential.
• Interest in supporting students’ learning and development.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, supportive and proactive approach.
• Teamwork and collaboration with staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
• Experience in education setting or supporting students with additional needs is advantageous.
• Must be suitably qualified and ready for interview.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning support during classroom-based and practical catering sessions.
• Assist students with catering tasks and developing practical skills.
• Support students with additional learning needs to engage.
• Work with teaching staff to deliver effective learning activities.
